homemade hot pretzels – so easy and so so good
Hot Pretzels
4 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/4 cups warm water
3 1/2 – 4 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup baking soda
4 cups hot water
melted butter
1/4 cup kosher salt
Dissolve yeast and 1 t. sugar in warm water. Let stand 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Knead. Let rise til double. Preheat oven to 450. Dissolve soda in hot water. Make 2 pretzels out of dough and dip in water. Bake for 8 minutes. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
