the scene behind me as i’m teaching school…..hopefully this doesn’t shed a bad light on homeschooling. there are a few moments (o.k. maybe one) out of our day when things look as they should (i.e. child sitting quietly at desk, pencil in hand, studiously scribbling away on paper while the other children play quietly in another room)

sunny loves being the oldest (bossiest) one around, so it was quite a treat to have cousins emmy and iyla over to play.

new breakfast recipe of the week was cinnamon orange waffles with chocolate sauce. i used half whole wheat to add a healthy element so we could drench them in the chocolate sauce with reckless abandon
